Island Mount Hoods

Island mount range hoods are a practical yet elegant addition to any kitchen. These range hoods hang over cooking surfaces, making them a great addition to islands, peninsulas, and other custom culinary spaces. Hoods are supported by a decorative chimney extension, some of which can extend up to 64” in height for kitchens with high ceilings.

Most island range hoods are fully contained with internal blowers, making them easy to access if maintenance is required. Many hoods have a convertible venting type which allows for ducted and ductless ventilation options. Ducting expels air from the inside to outdoors, while a recirculation kit sucks in air and filters it back out into the kitchen. Extraction rates range from a serviceable 250 CFM up to a remarkable 1600 CFM.

Find a size and style that's a perfect fit for your culinary space. They can be as compact as 20 inches wide and stretch up to 70 inches to accommodate various cooktops. Hoods can be standard, canopy pro style, and chimney style to match your kitchen design. Select from finishes such as stainless steel, black stainless steel, graphite stainless steel, black, white, bisque, blue, bronze, brown, copper, red, silver, and slate. Operating these range hoods will be a breeze. Many have multi-fan speeds and variable speed control to generate the right amount of power needed to whisk away smoke. Most are equipped with a temperature sensor that will automatically turn on blowers and adjust speeds when the kitchen gets too hot handle. With such a feature, you'll be able to step out of the kitchen and not have to worry about walking back into a foggy haze.
