Masonry Fireplace Industries, Inc. (MFI) was started in 2005 by a group of three individuals who together, have over 150 years of experience in the fireplace manufacturing business. Our last venture was a highly profitable company with global sales that focused on fireplace distribution to national homebuilders. 

Based in Riverside, California, MFI has additional distribution in Dallas, TX and Spencerville, OH.  All our fireplaces are listed with PFS under report number 08-154, as well as other industry listings. We are currently offering standard traditional, linear, and fully custom masonry fireplaces to meet your most creative designs. These modular lightweight concrete fire boxes are the lightest weight in their class with the highest heat-resistant strength on the market.

With the help of ICC-ES, Mason-Lite developed the structural testing and performance criteria (AC375) that would comply with the International Building Code (IBC), the International Residential Code (IRC), and the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). This allows building officials throughout the US and Canada to confirm that Mason-Lite fireplaces meet these stringent codes.

Mason-Lite fireplaces are sourced and manufactured entirely in the USA.

Pumice Story

At Mason-Lite we use the finest aggregate materials available to build our lightweight modular concrete fireplaces. One of the main ingredients is pumice, a naturally fired volcanic rock with tremendous strength. Its lightweight attributes are second to none, and because of its pre-fired beginnings, pumice retains heat better than any natural aggregate available. The best sources for USA pumice are in the western states, convenient to Mason-Lite’s California-based production facility. 

Pumice is formed when gas-rich, frothy magma rapidly cools, creating air pockets that contribute to its remarkable lightweight properties.
